This app does exactly what I wanted it to do… Burn DVD’s. It works just fine for me! I’ve burned a bunch of HD DVD’s and Blue Rays...

It didnt work for me. Freezes computer, crashed machine on ALL tried uses. I hope this app can help me, but i tried again and again. None of the discs worked! No happy with this app. Give up!!

I’ve burned several DVD’s from projects I made in iMovie, running OS 10.10.2. I’ve had no problems or issues. Works smoothly. Some of the negative reviews had me a little concerned, but my fears were unwarranted. I’m fully satisfied with my purchase.

I needed a replacement for iDVD on my MacBook Pro and this did the trick beautifully. Everything has worked smoothly. Seems so far to be a reliable and well designed product. Thanks.

I had iDVD on my old Mac but it’s no longer available on the new Mac so I gave TOAST a try and it’s easier to use than even iDVD!

iDVD was cool but this was so easy and user friendly! Drop and Drag!

Does the job very well using a La Cie/Pioneer (Firewire burner). Minor learning curve with the various disc ‘themes’, but worth the $20 from the App Store!

I had Toast years ago on another Mac and loved it. Now that there isn’t even iDVD available on new Mac, I had to find a solution quickly. Toast burned perfectly and the menu works great. I used a Macbook Pro 13 purchased in 2014 with external disc drive.

Yes, so far so good…it was easy to install through the “App Store” and just “drag and drop” my files as others said and even though my computer is older and a little slow, it worked great!

I have been trying to burn a 10 minute iMovie and everytime I try to play it, it freezes, but continues to play the music. I am very frustrated and disappointed. I have ruined several DVD’s and was hoping to share an end of the year slide show with my preschool class. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

It’s nowhere near as elegant as iDVD used to be — as an example, the avcailable menu designs are pretty much extremely ugly. But it gets the job done, is easy enough to use, and with iDVD dead and buried this seems to be the best option available in a reasonable price range.

It does what it says, but for some reason, the movie on the disc looks really squished and pretty much unwatchable. There doesn’t seem to be any settings to change that.

It works, BUT... you can only pick 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios. If you are burning a movie with a wider ratio, it squishes/stretches your video to fit the closest matching ratio instead of cropping or letterboxing. ***The “Toast DVD” product is not listed on the companys support page despite the link from the app store.*** Without any support options to address the aspect ratio limitiations, this version gets one star.

This app saved mah bacon. Awesome.

While trying to burn a disk of family photos, videos, and slideshows I ran into an apple conundrum. It is possible to do it in Apple but the Apple process is cumbersome. Toast simpliefied the disk burn to a drag and drop. It takes awhile, and if some non-photo, or non-video docs are in the dragged in folder it will still burn the disk- but the burned disk will stop when hitting the non supported docs (ie ms word etc). Burn time is long( an hour)- but my Apple “superdrive” could be a contributor. Burn speed is between 1x and 4X- which seems slow. My iMac with OS10.10.4, 2.7 GHz Intel Core 5 with 12 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 memory which should be enough processor and memory. I found that shutting off all non necessary applications improved burn and write time. Still it works. is stable, and is reliable. I gave it 5 stars.

No matter what I do, it places chapters in completely different places from where I set them. Which makes it all pretty pointless. Wish I could get my money back.

I’ve had multiple products by Roxio in the past and not had an issue. I purchased this and cannot believe that it simply will not burn a disc without stopping part way through with an error message. I should have known something was amiss when I couldn’t even register the product. After I entered my information, I’d get a response that it could not be submitted because i had not entered my information. Very disappointed with this waste of $20. Contacting Roxio is also not very easy. I find it ridiculous that i have to scour their webpage in an attempt to find some type of e-mail contact. I don’t think in this day and age I should have to dial an 800 number and wait on hold when they are willing to take my money instantly for a product that is not working correctly.
