I purchased this program because while idvd still works, at some timee in the future, who knows?. This program creates a better and brighter video than idvd does. it is also eassier to make copies of disks.

Was hoping this would be a way to crank out simple quick dvd’s of my editing projects, but it crashes too much and gives “corrupt file” errors way too often. Disappointed. Hoping improvements are coming.

This app worked once and then stopped working altogether. It keeps crashing with error messages halfway through the burning process, which is not only annoying but it has caused me to throw away 4 blu-ray discs, losing money in the process. Do not invest in this app - you will just get frustrated. Total waste of time and money.

I was a little worried when I saw some of the reviews, but no problems here. Maybe not the most intutive interface, but I got what I wanted. Worked fine.

Did not notify not enough space on disc and crashed numerous times after multiple hours of rendering. Even though it said there was space on disc, it would not burn. Much worse than the old toast.

After fighting with iDVD on my Mac desktop due to encoding errors (never had encoding errors before), I went to my new MacAir only to realize new Macs don’t come with iDVD. I stumbled on ToastDVD and decided to spend $20. Worked great the first time.

I have never had a problem with any version of this app/program and I have been using it for as long as I can remember. It’s the best burning software you can find.

This app is a total waste of $. It crashes if you copy too many videos into it at one time. It crashes when it tries to burn a disk and it gives a Mac error at the end. You can’t sort videos in que by date. You have to do it manually. Do not buy this app. It is a waste of time and money.

I’ve been using “Toast” now for a few months, burning many DVD’s and absolutely love it. Never do I have any problems and the video results are crisp, clear and wonderfully rendered. Highly recommend this program to anyone considering creating archival copies of their DVD’s and/or VHS movies. 5 stars from me today.

This is a wonderful program. Extremely user friendly. It was so simplel and easy. Best value for the money!

Toast has always been a decent standard, intutive interface… Way cheaper than their boxed products… Not much to gripe about, especially for the combined price with Blu-Ray plugin. Mac Mini with 16 gigs of ram, 2.3 i7. I will note, sometimes it does straight out crash with no other applications running; try to encode and burn a 2nd time, and it works flawless. It would be killer if after a long encode process it was able to save to both a disc image, and burn copies at the same time… Perhaps there is a work-around, but the encode time seems long, if you’re rendered out video via FCPX and or Compressor to a compatible format, it needs to re-encode the source material itself… The only other “nit” I have about the software is that it isn’t mentioned on the deloper site, and thus there’s no listing of compatible drives. I’m using a Samsung external SE-506CB Blu-Ray drive, no issues at all (but you do need to upgrade the drive firmware itself) Not “EPIC” but gets the job done well for the price for sure…

I did not need the full version of the latest Toast since I was only going to copy some DVD’s for friends and relatives. At this price ($19.99) it is doing a superb job of accomplishing what I wanted to do for a minimum in time and expense. Thank you very much, Roxio! Keep up the good work!

Does not do what it is advertised to do. Can not make chapters for home vidoes that work. Can not make a disk image to view your video before you burn it so you can see if what you have done looks right. Can not burn it to a disk and have it work in a player other than toast. JUNK PRODUCT. Hope they give me my money back. I visited their sight and they say they have a 30 day money back guarentee.

Does the job with a simple, user friendly interface. Highly recommend!

The good features are that it works with Mac and has compatibility. There are features that iDVD was capable of that Toast is not - i.e. - not really seemless transfer from iMovie to Toast (issues here we could not solve) & you can not edit chapter titles and/or menus in Toast. It works as a substitute for iDVD since Apple no longer supports iDVD and therefore is getting more buggy as OS X moves along. Hopefully Roxio/Toast can add some features to make it more like iDVD and then they can get higher ratings and more purchases.

I’ve attempted to burn 3 DVD’s using this software. A simple 15 minute movie created using iMovie. Each time, the video played back on my new Samsung player at half speed while the audio played back at normal speed. After two failed attempts, I contacted Roxio/Corel by email about this problem (there is no person to person customer support). I was advised to uninstall and re-install the program. I did one better. I repurchased it from the appstore for another 20 dollars. Again the same issue arose.

Great App. Easy to use. High quality video. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Couldn’t be easier to use. Easily figured out the menu and burnt my first disk in less than 5 mins. Well Done Toaster.

If all you need to do is burn something with some encoding options, then this will do. The built in menus are all awful. It would be nice if one could simply put in their own background and add their own buttons. You cannot do that with this program which is frustrating.

Before downloading this app I struggled with using iMovie and iDVD to chapter out and burn my music DVDs for my car. Toast makes it super easy and my computer seems to be having an easier time writing the disc.
